What is GIS?
GIS stands for Geographic Information Systems and is a powerful computer technology used to visually show information and perform analysis. Multiple pieces of data or information can be shown as “layers” and stacked together in a GIS map. GIS is an essential tool for science, engineering, construction, emergency management, and is even used by intelligence agencies.

Don’t worry! Even for the more tech-savvy, we understand that new technology can still be intimidating. Our team will help you through the whole process, making it as painless as possible to get started.

My business involves physical work outside. GIS has nothing to do with my work and will not be useful for me. —> GIS is useful for almost any business. All businesses run on information, from client data to job performance metrics, etc. If that data is location-based, meaning it is tied to an address or coordinates, that is called “spatial data.” There is no better tool for analyzing spatial data than GIS software. It doesn’t matter what the job is, data is data. The question is whether you can understand your data to make accurate conclusions and decisions.
I do not want to install any complicated software on my computer. —> Most of our services involve web-based GIS tools, which means there is no need to install anything on your computer. Just open a web browser and go to the GIS website.
I am not a programmer and do not have time to learn. —> The map tools we will use in our services do not require any programming skills to use. They are very user-friendly and you can start using them right away.
